Reference to Self

 Sometimes my memories come in pieces at odd times. For instance I remembered a name as I was about to fall asleep but didn't record it. This morning I tried to remember the name I had thought about the night before and couldn't recall it but came up with another name that was related. I have come to believe I will never recall all the things I want to, some things will be inexact in the recollection, and I will continue to remember things that will be like ghosts passing in the night.

 I spent time with frat brothers about 1967-1970. The frat actually merged in 1970 with    Zeta Beta Tau which meant nothing to me. Among names I remember:  Bruce Goldstien, Bruce Dicker, Ron Dicker, Ron Resnick, Denny and Bucky (red convertible)  Bruce Goldstein : I don't know if he was a member of the fraternity, but I know that most of the frat knew him. He had a beautiful apartment in downtown and I probably had a crush on him because of it. He was an amazingly handsome man and seemed to be looked upon by others as somewhat of a leader.  Bruce Dicker : He was rather short compared to me. He always seemed to be full of life and zest until he was diagnosed with MS. The last time I saw him he was walking with a cane at a snails pace. His brother, Ron, that seemed incredibly devoted to Bruce, even before illness befell him.

 Barbara taught me to knit and/or crochet. She was a neighbor in our apartment building. She seemed older than my mother but not as old as my grandmother.
